Dear PACS HR Director Matt Parish:

I strongly support the staff and residents of PACS nursing homes in Wenatchee, Ellensburg, Camas, Toppenish, Sunnyside, and Richland.

Your company, PACS, is a $6.7 billion out-of-state corporation that pays its top 5 executives collectively $27 million annually.

PACS can afford to pay nursing home staff compensation they can live on in their communities. A few dollars more an hour makes a huge difference, and that’s money that should be circulating in our local economies, supporting our town’s small businesses and families.

PACS should also protect the safety of both residents and their caregivers by prioritizing workplace safety, and by paying compensation that reduces turnover. Low wages can lead to high staff turnover at nursing homes, which is linked to more pressure ulcers, pain, and urinary tract infections in nursing home residents.

It’s time for PACS to pay up, for nursing home staff, for residents, and for our communities.
